First Grade Team

Marya Goodman, First Grade Co-Teacher

Ms. Goodman earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire. She has her certification to teach grades K-8 in New Hampshire and grades K-5 in New Jersey, where she grew up. This is Ms. Goodman’s fifth year teaching at Harlem Link. She enjoys running, baking, reading and spending time with her family.

Rachel Kaplan, First Grade Co-Teacher

Ms. Kaplan earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Miami University and earned her Master’s degree and certifications in Elementary and Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. This is her fourth year teaching and fourth year at Harlem Link. Ms. Kaplan loves reading, all things chocolate, and continuing to root for and be disappointed by Cleveland sports teams. She is so excited to be a part of the Harlem Link community!

Nikita Ramoo, First Grade Co-Teacher

Ms. Ramoo received her B.A. in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education and her M.A. in Inclusive Education both from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She is also certified to work with Students with Disabilities. This is her first year teaching at Harlem Link, but she has been teaching for five years prior to coming to Harlem Link. She enjoys staying active and trying out different exercise classes. She also loves to read and spending time with friends and family!

Bronte Rufen-Blanchette, First Grade Co-Teacher

Ms. Rufen-Blanchette (Ms. RB) received her BA in Political Science from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She joined Teach For America in 2014 and taught middle school Social Studies in Memphis, Tennessee before transferring to the New York region. She is working towards certification for general education. This is her third year teaching and her second year at Harlem Link. She loves to dance, cook, read, and spend time with family and friends. She is excited to join the Harlem Link family and have the opportunity to work with our wonderful community of scholars!

Danielle Wald, First Grade Co-Teacher

Ms. Wald received her B.A. in America Studies from Muhlenberg College and her M.A in Elementary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has her certification to teach Grades K-5 from New York. This is her 5th year teaching, and first year at Harlem Link. She enjoys spending time outside, and loves running, biking and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to be a part of the Harlem link community!
