Matthew Greene, Physical Education Teacher

Mr. Greene earned his B.A. in Health Movement Science from Lynchburg College, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and his M.A. in Health and Physical Education at S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook on Long Island. He has certification to teach Kindergarten through 12th grade in both Health and Physical Education. This is his eleventh year teaching, and his sixth year at Harlem Link. He enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, and traveling.

Tyler Guthrie, Visual Arts Teacher

Ms. Guthrie is a first generation American and college student, raised in South Jamaica, Queens. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from St. John's University and her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Relay Graduate School. She also completed the General Studies program at the International Center of Photography. Ms. Guthrie's artwork has been exhibited in Manhattan and Queens as well as published in books. She is a 2012 New York Teach For America Alum and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. This is her sixth year teaching and her first year at Harlem Link. Ms. Guthrie uses her free time to enjoy and create Art (of course)! She hopes to uncover and strengthen the creative problem solver in every student.

Jennifer Holliman, Grades Pre-K to 3 Science Teacher

Ms. Jennifer earned her B.S. at NYU in International Studies and her M.A. in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education. She has her dual certification to teach birth through sixth grade in New York. This is her twenty-third year teaching and her tenth year at Harlem Link Charter School. Most of her free time is spent with her two wonderful children enjoying NYC.

Kristine Peters, Music Teacher

Ms. Kristine Peters, a.k.a. “Ms. Krissy” holds a Master of Arts in Music & Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). She has most recently successfully completed Level 1 certifications in Kodaly (John Feierabend, Hartt School @ The University of Hartford) and Orff (Beth Ann Hepburn, Education Through Music, NYC). From a strong arts background, Ms. Krissy spent seven years at Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts as Private Studio Teaching Faculty and Education Coordinator (Admin) after spending two years in administration at Orchestra of St. Luke’s and the Arts Council of the Morris Area. Ms. Krissy believes in the musical ability of every child and aims that every child can Sing, Say, Dance & Play in a Tuneful, Beatful, Artful way.
